Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 August 2026

This page is maintained by JIYAA Diabetes and Endocrine Center to explain how information shared through this website is handled. It describes our current practices and is not an independent certification or audit.

1. Who we are

JIYAA Diabetes and Endocrine Center ("we", "us") is an endocrinology and diabetes clinic led by Dr. Yogesh Phirke, located at Rajarampuri, 6th Lane, Kolhapur, Maharashtra, India. We are the party responsible for information you submit through this website.

2. Information we collect

We only collect what you choose to send us:

  • Appointment requests: name, age, mobile number, email address, a short description of your health concern, and your preferred date and time.
  • WhatsApp, call and email enquiries: your phone number, name and whatever you include in your message.
  • Website usage data: if analytics is enabled, aggregated and pseudonymised data such as pages viewed, approximate location (city level), device type, browser and referring site.

Please share only the minimum health detail needed to schedule a consultation. Detailed medical history, reports and test results are best discussed in the clinic, not through the website or messaging apps.

3. How the appointment form works

The appointment form on this site does not store your details on a website database. When you submit it, your details are formatted into a WhatsApp message that opens in your own WhatsApp app, and the message is sent to the clinic only when you send it. Until you press send, the information stays on your device.

Once received, the request is handled by clinic staff to confirm your slot. An appointment request is a request only — it is confirmed after we contact you.

4. How we use your information

  • To schedule, confirm, reschedule or remind you about appointments.
  • To answer questions you send us by WhatsApp, phone or email.
  • To maintain clinical records for patients who consult us, as required for medical care in India.
  • To understand, in aggregate, how the website is used so we can improve it.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising or marketing lists.

5. WhatsApp and third-party services

Messages you send us travel through WhatsApp (Meta Platforms) and are subject to WhatsApp's own privacy policy and encryption. Phone calls travel through your telecom provider, and email through your email provider and ours (Gmail). These services are outside our control and handle your data under their own terms.

If website analytics (such as Google Analytics) is active, Google acts as a processor for usage statistics and may set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser. Analytics data is aggregated and is never linked to your medical information.

6. Cookies

This website does not use cookies for advertising or profiling. Any cookies present are used for basic site functioning and, where analytics is enabled, for measuring visits. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will continue to work.

7. Sharing your information

We share information only with clinic staff involved in your care, with a hospital or laboratory when your treatment requires a referral, and where disclosure is required by Indian law or by a competent authority. We do not share your details with any other third party for their own purposes.

8. Retention

Enquiry and appointment messages are kept only as long as needed to respond and to schedule your visit. Clinical records created after a consultation are retained for the period required under applicable Indian medical record-keeping norms.

9. Security

The website is served over HTTPS, and access to clinic devices and records is restricted to authorised staff. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security of information sent through messaging apps or email.

10. Your choices and rights

You may ask us what information we hold about you, ask for corrections, ask us to delete enquiry messages, or withdraw consent for further contact. Requests for deletion of clinical records may be limited by medical record-keeping requirements. Write to us using the contact details below and we will respond within a reasonable period.

11. Children

We treat paediatric and adolescent endocrine conditions. Where the patient is a minor, the appointment request should be made by a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for the information shared.

12. No medical advice online

Content on this website, including patient education material, is general information and is not a substitute for a consultation, diagnosis or prescription. In an emergency, call your nearest hospital immediately rather than using this website or WhatsApp.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices or the services we use change. The revised date at the top of this page will always show the latest version.
